Purple Queen Sportster Bobber
Here is another beautifully done, Harley-Davidson Sportster Bobber that was built by our friend Peter Ström with help from his friend Kenta Falkered of Ace Performance. Peter built this custom bobber out of a 1995 Harley-Davidson Sportster 883 and he nicked named her Purple Queen due to her very clean Purple paint job, a paint job that was an idea from his Daughter.
Purple Queen uses the original stock Sportster frame which has been slightly modified. It may be surprising for some of you to know that this frame has been left as a Softail rather than converted to a hardtail like most sportster bobbers. The front forks are stock however, they modified triple trees and the forks have been custom engraved.
The gas tank that sits on top of the frame is a sporty style tank with a brass gas cap from Speed Dealer Customs. Both of the stock fenders have been replaced by a custom chopped rib fender on the rear which was done for maximum tire exposure and the bobber has a ribbed fender on the front of the bike.
Purple Queen is steered by a set of Biltwell “Frisco Bars” which have risers welded on and they have been powdered coated black. The handle controls are a set of Kustom Tech Delux polished brass controls while the foot controls are HD Mid Controls with Hippy killer pegs and shifters. The saddle for the bike is a custom tooled Soloseat.
The bike sits on a front 19 inch wheel with twisted spokes and a rear 16 inch wheel with twisted spokes. The wheels are wrapped in a set of Avon speed master tires.
Purple Queen is powered by a 1995 Harley Evolution 883 engine that has a performance CV brass dome Carburetor that was purchased from Lowbrow Customs as well as a Stage 1 big sucker air cleaner to allows the bike to breath. The engine exhaust flows out through a set of custom pipes that were built by Peter Strom and Ace Performance.

A Queen has to have the best that is why she has a Harley Evolution engine! Do I sport Indian Larry?
One of the things that you may have noticed about the engine and the fork of this bobber is that they have custom engravings on them. These engravings add style and class to the bike, they were done by a talented artist named Andrea Gallinaro who hails from Italy.
The Bikes unique purple paintjob with white pinstripping and airbrushed graphics were done by the talented Swedish painter Daniel Fahlström. The name Purple Queen comes from Peter’s daughter who wanted the bike to be purple and have a crown somewhere on it.

Daniel Fahlström proves he is one talented painter with this paint job, all of the small details such as the pinstripping on every part really make this bike!
When Peter built this bike he wanted to show the world that a Harley Sportster can be made into an unique one of a kind Bobber! With the help of his friends and his daughter Peter built a true Swedish Bobber!

If I will make a bike this design is my choice. It is sleek and simple. I also love it in purple.
